Centennial Beneficial Corp. has appointed William J. Mylymok as president of its Tustin-based Sunwest Bank subsidiary. Mylymok succeeds John Harney, who resigned early last month.
Mylymok, 46, of Newport Beach, had been executive vice president at Avco Financial Services before joining Centennial Beneficial Corp., of Orange, last June when Centennial purchased Sunwest. He formed the holding company’s leasing subsidiary, Centennial Leasing Corp.
Harney left the 16-year-old bank to pursue other business interests, said David Cheshier, the bank’s senior vice president for finance. Harney could not be reached for comment.
Banking consultant Gerry Findley of Brea said Harney’s departure was simply the result of a change in ownership. He said Harney, among other things, is serving as a consultant to several banks in Orange County.
