Diceon Electronics Earns $1.5 Million in Quarter

Bucking the depression in the computer market, Diceon Electronics Inc. in Irvine turned in record sales and earnings figures for the company’s first fiscal quarter ended Dec. 31. The company earned $1.5 million, up 7% from $1.4 million. Revenues for the quarter reached $15.1 million, a 10.2% increase from $13.7 million.

Diceon officials credited improved product mix and tighter reins on operating expenses as primary reasons for the company’s improved performance. Diceon makes complex and high-technology multilayer circuit boards for original equipment manufacturers of computer, telecommunications and instrumentation systems.
