Store Converted for Fitness Center in Sherman Oaks

A major renovation is under way on the 30,000-square-foot building that was Joseph Magnin’s in Sherman Oaks Fashion Square shopping center.

The $2.5-million project, contracted by the William Co. of Burbank, will result in a new Pritikin Health and Fitness Center. In addition to exercise facilities, the remodeled building will house a 2,200-square-foot medical facility with a full staff of physicians and registered nurses.

Pritikin International has begun a nationwide expansion of its centers and started in 1984 with a pilot facility in Pacific Palisades.
