Microcomputer Memories, a Chatsworth-based maker of disk drives for personal computers, named William D. Sharp its vice president of finance and chief financial officer. Sharp, 46, had been vice president of finance and administration at Avicom International.

The duties of chief financial officer previously were handled by Randy Weaver, the company’s controller. Weaver will remain controller, and report to Sharp.
