Industrialists Attack Apartheid

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — White South African industrialists today called for the abolition of apartheid and urged the white-led government to put into effect rapidly plans for opening urban districts to nonwhite businesses.
The Federated Chamber of Industries, one of the country’s largest employer groups, said in a statement that “business hopes to play an important catalytic role” in getting talks started on reforming the constitution to give blacks the vote.
