W. Virginia Relaxes 2-Day Prison Lock-Down

MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. — West Virginia Penitentiary officials relaxed a two-day lock-down of inmates Thursday after segregating what they called the “predators” who led a New Year’s Day riot in which three prisoners were killed. The mood in the 120-year-old prison was tense but “generally positive,” officials said.
