Ex-California Winery Chief Nominated for Army Job

President Reagan on Thursday nominated Michael P.W. Stone, a former California winery official who has been with the Agency for International Development since 1982, as assistant secretary of the Army for financial management. Stone, 61, succeeds Pringle P. Hillier, the White House said. Before working for AID, he was president of Sterling Vineyards in the Napa Valley.
