Council Awards Pact to Improve Paramount Park
PARAMOUNT —
Beginning early next year, the city’s largest park, Paramount Park, will get a $426,482 face-lift.
The City Council has awarded a contract to Aka-Toni Landscaping Co. of Gardena.
The work, which includes resurfacing and reseeding of five acres, adding security lightning and building a jog-walk-fitness course at the nine-acre park, is expected to be completed by March.
The project will use $231,482 in redevelopment funds and $195,000 from state park grants.
