Update on Port of Long Beach Story

A story appearing in today’s Long Beach, Southeast, South Bay and Westside suburban sections has been superseded by new developments. The story on the Department of Energy’s plan to move nuclear waste through the Port of Long Beach was written and printed Thursday. But on Friday, the executive director of the Long Beach port announced that he will not allow the nuclear material to be shipped through the port. A story on that announcement was carried in The Times Saturday on Page 1, Part II.
