This is in response to Carolyn Knutsen (Letters, Jan. 10) about catch phrases. Indeed, the phrase, “bottom line,” is petering out, only to be replaced by the now popular, “You see what I’m saying.”

I find myself constantly using this line. I just woke one morning and it had become a part of me. Apparently I don’t think people understand what I’m talking about, “You see what I’m saying.”
