A new $7.2-million simulated guided missile launching facility for the U. S. Naval Engineering Facilities Command at Port Hueneme has been completed by Accent General Inc.

Albert C. Martin & Associates of Los Angeles provided the architectural and engineering services. The complex was designed to house an extensive computer system for simulations, tracking equipment for use along the Pacific Missile Range and a complete missile-launching mock-up.

The project consists of three buildings constructed of reinforced concrete with integral concrete color schemes. The largest of the buildings is a five-story, 46,375-square-foot guided missile laboratory designed as a tempest facility and featuring a high-security system; other structures include a two-story launcher building, a one-story, 900-square-foot cooling tower and parking accommodation.
