Yorba Linda : City Extends Contract for Its Police Service

Share

Brea police will continue to provide service to Yorba Linda residents for another five years.

Officials from both cities agreed last week to a five-year contract that will begin when the current one expires June 30.

The contract sets the ground rules by which service will be provided and received, Brea Police Lt. Don Christian said. Police do not anticipate major changes in service, he said.

The cost of the program for the 1985-86 fiscal year will be about $2.1 million--a 14.3% increase over fiscal year 1984-85, Christian said.

Brea has been providing Yorba Linda’s police coverage since 1971. Except for the cost increase, the proposed contract is the same as the last two five-year agreements between the two cities.
