A man who briefly held posts as a winter ski instructor and summer seasonal ranger at Yosemite National Park more than 30 years ago will be returning to the park as its new superintendent. John Morehead, 53, most recently the superintendent of Everglades National Park in Florida, has been appointed to succeed Robert O. Binnewies at Yosemite. His most immediate task will be to deal with vehicle traffic at Yosemite Valley, the park’s most popular area.
