Miller Gets 29 Points as USC Beats Cal

BERKELEY — Cheryl Miller scored 29 points Sunday night to lead USC to an 86-70 victory over California in a nonconference women’s basketball game.
Miller also had 13 rebounds and 11 steals. She hit 12 of 19 shots from the floor but made only 5 of 11 from the free throw line.
Cynthia Cooper added 15 points for the Trojans (17-2). Cal fell to 9-8.
USC, rated No. 5 nationally, meets No. 6 Cal State Long Beach Tuesday night at Long Beach.
