UC Irvine Beats USIU in Tennis

Bruce Man Son Hing and Darren Yates led UC Irvine to a 7-2 win over U.S. International University in men’s tennis Monday at UCI.

Man Son Hing, playing No. 1 singles, defeated Kelly Durant, 6-4, 6-2. At No. 2 singles, Yates defeated Michael Gutter, 6-2, 7-5.

Man Son Hing and Yates combined to beat Durant and Gutter in No. 1 doubles, 6-2, 6-4.

UC Irvine, ranked No. 17, is 2-0 and will play No. 3 UCLA Friday at 1:30 at UCLA.
