Campaign Mail

Share

Despite being roundly criticized on at least two previous occasions, Howard Jarvis has again attempted to blatantly mislead California voters.

The other day we received an envelope labeled, “Important Voter Information Enclosed.” The envelope had a large bear (official symbol of the State of California) prominently displayed. The return address was stated to be “CTRM-State Administrative Headquarters.”

On the very front of the envelope it stated, “NOTICE: THIS INFORMATION CAN AFFECT YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE IN UPCOMING CITY AND COUNTY ELECTIONS.”

The envelope contained no official material whatsoever. It contained only voter propaganda from Howard Jarvis, who has perpetrated these misleading campaign practices too many times on California voters. Without even reading the material, we all can now confirm what these sleazy tactics demonstrate: Jarvis and Paul Gann are nothing more than political hacks and demagogues out to mislead us voters.

I would hope that if the California Fair Political Practices Commission has any teeth whatsoever, it can put a stop to these kinds of repeated misleading campaign material; and the voters will put a stop to the candidates who practice their fine art.
