Nixon ‘Alert,’ Will Leave Hospital Soon
Associated Press
MIAMI —
Former President Richard M. Nixon, hospitalized with a viral infection, was feeling tired but talkative Tuesday, discussing medical costs, the Super Bowl and Florida’s cold snap, according to the doctor treating him.
Nixon, 73, probably will be hospitalized “one to two more days,” Dr. Lewis Elias said.
“He’s doing reasonably well this morning. He’s still feeling very tired, but he’s very alert,” Elias said. “He had a good night’s sleep and he’s in excellent spirits.”
