Bonn to Extradite Bhagwan Aide

KARLSRUHE, West Germany —
Ma Anand Sheela, former top aide to the Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, will be extradited to the United States on Thursday, officials said today.
The state prosecutor’s office said the Bonn government had ratified a decision by a regional court two weeks ago to approve a U.S. extradition request for Sheela, 36. She was arrested in southern Germany last October after fleeing the guru’s since-disbanded Oregon commune. She is wanted on charges of conspiracy to poison the guru’s doctor in 1984.
