Deputy Charged with Falsifying Reports

A former Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy accused of falsifying reports and lying to the district attorney’s office about cases involving his girlfriend and a male friend has been charged with three misdemeanors, the district attorney’s office said Wednesday.

Kenneth Redwine, 49, who worked at the Industry substation until his resignation last November, allegedly told district attorney’s investigators that his girlfriend had passed a polygraph test when she had not.

Battery and other misdemeanor charges against the woman were subsequently dropped.

In the second case, involving a friend accused of hitting an employee, Redwine allegedly falsified an investigation report and charges were not filed.
