Duties were levied on some foreign iron and steel.

The Commerce Department assessed temporary duties on iron construction castings from Canada after it found that they were being dumped on the U.S. market at 10% under fair value. It also levied temporary duties on steel pipes and tubes from Thailand and Turkey on grounds that they were being dumped at 15% and 18%, respectively, under fair value. The actions were taken after the U.S. International Trade Commission ruled that the imports were hurting domestic industries.
