Work has started in Costa Mesa on a major expansion and renovation of Bullock’s South Coast Plaza, the No. 1 volume store in the 22-store chain.
Expected to be completed in the fall of 1987, the project will add 90,300 square feet to the 187,000-square-foot structure, which will be refurbished. The architect is Architects Pacifica, Newport Beach.
Industry sources estimate the construction cost at $30 million. The store will remain open.
