Government Offices Closed to Observe Presidents’ Day

All city, county, state and federal government offices and courts will be closed today in honor of Presidents’ Day.
San Diego County spokesman Bob Lerner said county parks and recreation facilities will remain open.
In the city, public libraries will be closed and metered parking will not be enforced.
The Miramar Landfill will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but trash collections scheduled for today will be made Tuesday, and others throughout the week will be pushed back a day.
The Mission Beach Plunge, the city’s indoor swimming pool, will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. and the city’s San Vicente, Miramar, Otay and Sutherland lakes will be open for fishing from dawn to dusk, Donley said.
State parks and recreation facilities in San Diego County also will be open.
Cabrillo National Monument will be open from 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
