Michigan State basketball star Scott Skiles has agreed to serve 30 days in jail for breaking probation on a drug conviction by being arrested on drunken driving charges, it was reported by WILX-TV in Lansing.
Skiles, a senior guard for the Spartans and one of the nation’s leading collegiate scorers, would serve the 30-day term at the end of the 1985-86 season under the tentative agreement with Indiana authorities. The station quoted unnamed court sources as saying Skiles could have two weeks knocked off his jail term for good behavior.
