Player Suffers Seizures After Falling in Game
Jeremiah Jasper, backup center for the West Virginia Tech basketball team, suffered two seizures within minutes of each other Monday night after falling to the court and hitting his head during Tech’s 97-82 loss to Charleston.
Jasper struck his head on the court after Charleston’s Jason Gee pulled off a clean steal with about seven minutes left in the first half.
Two hours after the fall, officials at a city hospital said Jasper was in guarded condition in the intensive care unit.
Jasper went into a seizure after falling, then suffered a second one in the dressing room.
