A unanimous Superior Court jury exonerated actor Dennis Hopper in a 1980 incident in which actress Sally Kirkland’s finger was cut by a knife on a movie set. “I guess you could call it an accident in a way, but Dennis and the three eyewitnesses all testified that Sally grabbed the knife,” said Hopper’s attorney, Mark Meyers. Hopper was not charged with a crime in the case. Kirkland later sued Hopper over the incident.
