Iowa Rep. Bedell to Retire

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Rep. Berkley Bedell (D-Iowa) announced Saturday that he will not run for a seventh term. Bedell, 64, cited health problems and said that he no longer has the energy to be an effective representative of Iowa’s 6th Congressional District.
