Ingrid Kristiansen ran a world-record-pace 10 kilometers as she overtook three runners on the fourth leg of a six-leg marathon relay race at Yokohama, Japan, and her Norwegian team went on to win in 2 hours 16 minutes 42 seconds.
Kristiansen, who holds the world women’s marathon record and also the world women’s 10-kilometer record of 30 minutes 59.42 seconds, ran the 10 kilometers in 30:39.
