Ethnicity

Share

I’m probably being very naive and Pollyannaish, but just once it would be refreshing to read that an ethnic group was subordinating its identity and goals to the big picture--what’s good for America!

I’m sick and tired about reading about Arab-Americans, Japanese-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, etc., etc.

It appears that holding on to ethnicity for dear life is more prevalent than it used to be. What has happened to our wonderful melting pot where citizenship, its duties and way of life, was something to be worn with pride?
