Pirmin Zurbriggen of Switzerland, one of the top all-around skiers on the World Cup tour the last five seasons, moved into second place in the overall standings by winning a super giant slalom at Hemsedal, Norway.

Zurbriggen, World Cup champion in the downhill and combined last season, skied down the 2,160-meter Sahuagl track in 1 minute 37.44 seconds to edge runner-up Markus Wasmaier of West Germany by .18 of a second.
