Phoenix to Ban Pupils Without Measles Shots

Pupils who cannot prove they have been immunized against measles will be banned from school here beginning March 5, health officials said.

There already are 50 confirmed cases of the disease in Maricopa County, including five children who attended day-care centers and 26 among other preschoolers, state health director Dr. Lloyd Novick said last week.
