Recruiting Effort Shows Real Estate Attractive Career
- Share via
Preliminary results of a one-week nationwide recruiting campaign conducted by Irvine-based Century 21 Real Estate indicate that thousands of people are moving back into real estate as a career and that generally, new sales associates are better educated, more motivated and more career-minded than many of their predecessors of the 1970s.
The campaign was undertaken during Century 21’s Career Opportunity Week. Last year, during the firm’s first such week, more than 11,000 potential sales associates signed up for pre-license training. The exact number of new sales associate recruits garnered from this year’s event won’t be known for several weeks, but results are expected to surpass last year’s.
Century 21, a subsidiary of Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., already has 90,000 sales associates affiliated with 6,500 independently owned and operated offices in the U. S., Canada, Japan and Guam.
