Bangladesh Plans Bridge

DHAKA, Bangladesh —
The Bangladeshi government plans to build an eight-mile road bridge over the River Jamuna at a cost of $836 million to link Dhaka with northern areas of the country, Communications Minister Moudud Ahmed said Monday. Construction of the bridge will begin in 1988 and finish in 1992.
