Jerry Hulse’s article, which did list a few exceptions by way of making slams at others, was a very harmful statement, a discouraging essay on an industry that is largely composed of professional business people who work very hard around the clock to make their businesses succeed on a small scale.
I am the author of two books on B&Bs.; I spend a great deal of my time researching and writing about California B&Bs; as well as talking about them to inngoers, innkeepers and the traveling public. I have also been a B&B; owner and have worked as the promotional coordinator for tourism in my Central Coast community.
I know Jerry is mad that prices are going up; join the club. Has he tried to book a nice hotel room and add to it room service for his breakfast and evening snack?
