Change Is Hinted in USC Basketball

It’s only at the strong rumor stage now, but sources close to USC athletics say basketball Coach Stan Morrison’s job may be in jeopardy.

The Trojans wound up their season Saturday in last place in the Pacific 10 with a 5-13 record, 11-17 overall.

Morrison and Athletic Director Mike McGee weren’t available for comment Monday night. Morrison was in the Bay Area on a scouting trip, while McGee was attending a Pac-10 meeting in the same area.

However, sources close to USC say that something is going to happen in the school’s basketball program in the next few days.

Morrison just concluded his seventh season as USC’s coach.
