P.V. Estates : Council OKs Fee Hikes

Share

In an effort to make city fees reflect the cost of providing services, the City Council agreed to raise the price of certain building and land use permits.

If the council gives final approval next month, a grading application will increase to $500 from $300, a building variance will increase to $300 from $200 and a zone change petition will increase to $500 from the $50 fee established in 1948.

According to a city report, the new fees would be in line with those charged in other Peninsula cities and would cover the rising administrative costs of processing permit applications.
