Rail Strikers Halt Some Boston Commuter Trains

BOSTON —
Striking Maine railroad workers closed commuter rail service into Boston from the north and west Wednesday, but about 6,000 commuters made it to the city on shuttle buses pressed into emergency service, officials said. The workers are protesting staffing cuts.
