Peter Sellers’ Daughter Surrenders

The 23-year-old daughter of the late actor Peter Sellers turned herself in Friday to face federal charges of participating in an international cocaine ring and was freed on $100,000 bond, authorities said.

Victoria Sellers, an actress and model, was indicted Wednesday with her roommate and four other California residents.

The indictment alleged that the ring used violence to obtain cocaine and collect drug debts. The investigation was initiated by undercover New Jersey state police troopers, whose negotiations with an unidentified ring member led to the January seizure of three kilograms of cocaine in New Jersey, authorities said.

Bail Set at $100,000

Accompanied by her attorney, Sellers surrendered to U.S. Atty. Thomas W. Greelish on Friday afternoon and appeared before a federal judge who set bail at $100,000, the prosecutor said.

U.S. District Judge John W. Bissell ordered Sellers to surrender her British passport to the federal Drug Enforcement Administration office in Los Angeles by 5 p.m. today, Greelish said. The judge also restricted her travel to New Jersey and California and scheduled arraignment The indictment alleged that the drug ring was led by Sellers’ roommate, talent promoter Reed Wallace, 30, who was arrested Jan. 31 in New York City. The other defendants are all in custody in New York or California, prosecutors said.

Sellers is the daughter of actress Britt Ekland. Her father died in 1980.
