Rescuers cut through the lifeless body of one victim tonight to bring out a woman survivor who lay trapped for four days under the ruins of a collapsed six-story hotel.

The woman, Chua Kin Choon, 30, was the last confirmed survivor in the rubble, rescue officials said.

Rescuer Frank Connolly, a senior engineer from Ireland, said: “I feel very good. In some small way I have helped to bring her out alive.”

Crews earlier today recovered the body of an unidentified woman, bringing to 11 the number of people known dead in the unexplained collapse Saturday morning of the 67-room Hotel New World. Seventeen people have been rescued.

Officials said today that about 75 people remain buried in the wreckage.

Connolly volunteered with some Irish and British colleagues in the rescues. They celebrated with drinks today their success in bringing out Choon, one of their toughest tasks.
