San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge Ben K. Kayashima denied the motion of Jack H. Brown, the supermarket company’s suspended president, that Stater Bros. be ordered to hold its annual shareholders meeting as originally scheduled on March 20. The company, which has been waging a proxy fight with Brown, has delayed the meeting to April 28. In an interview, Brown said he is “disappointed but undaunted” and plans to show up March 20 “to cast a majority of the shares as a matter of public record.”
