Fluor Corp. said its St. Joe Gold Corp. unit discovered gold at its Golden Patricia property in Northern Ontario, Canada, and estimates the find contains 370,000 troy ounces of the precious metal.

In trading Tuesday, gold closed at $349.50 a troy ounce.

Irvine-based Fluor, an engineering, construction and natural resources management concern, owns 90% of St. Joe Gold, which completed an initial public offering of three million common shares in January.

For its fiscal first quarter ended Jan. 31, St. Joe Gold reported net income of $4.1 million.
