Continuing its latest acquisition binge, National Education Corp. of Newport Beach announced Wednesday that it has agreed to buy Coastal Business College Inc., a seven-campus vocational school chain located in Delaware and Maryland.
Terms were not announced.
The purchase was announced less than two weeks after the company said that it intends to buy two training programs from Gulf + Western Industries Inc. in a $100-million deal expected to secure National Education’s position as the nation’s largest vocational training operator.
Coastal Business College, which had revenues of $8 million in 1985, offers business, electronics and allied health trades training that National Education officials said complements its offerings at 42 campuses throughout the nation.
