Body of Man Swept Away by Wave Found
The body of a San Diego man who was swept away by a six-foot wave Monday while retrieving his fishing pole was found Wednesday morning near Sunset Cliffs, said a Mission Bay Harbor Patrol spokesman.
The man, whose body was found by the Harbor Patrol, was identified as Hoa Ruy Nguyen, 29.
Nguyen was fishing with a friend on the rocks at Sunset Cliffs about 9 p.m. Monday when he dropped his pole into the ocean and decided to go in after it, a San Diego lifeguard spokesman said Tuesday.
