Hundreds of Haitian bus drivers went on strike to protest the killing of five people by soldiers who opened fire on an angry corwd, Radio Metropole reported. Soldiers fired at several hundred people who were stoning soldiers after an off-duty army officer tried to arrest a bus driver who drove his bus in front of the officer’s car in the Port-au-Prince suburb of Carrefour, the radio said.
