Defending Dornan’s ‘Little Jew’ Remark

What strange bedfellows adversity tends to make. First, the organized Jewish community has never seriously taken Jerry Falwell to task because Falwell is so very pro-Israel. And now, David Lehrer of the Anti-Defamation League applauds Bob Dornan, a staunch supporter of Israel, even as he made an unpardonable slur against the Jewish people.
I am angry and I am offended. And I resent the fact that someone with the high visibility of Lehrer speaks out as a representative of the Jewish community. I am tired of this alliance with ethnic and religious bigots as long as they support the state of Israel.
Show a little courage, Mr. Lehrer. You are a source of great embarrassment to me.
