Granada Hills 7, Westchester 5--The Comets rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh inning off relief pitcher Sean Casey, and starting pitcher Mark Kessler had to come back in from first base to finish the game. Kessler came in and got the final two outs on a force at second and Chris Brandon’s fly to center.
Kessler had given up two runs on six hits in six innings and struck out four.
Senior Greg Fowble’s solo homer in the third gave the Highlanders a 2-0 lead. In the fourth Bob Allen’s two-run single made it 5-1.
