Kaufman & Broad will buy two insurance units.

The Los Angeles firm and Washington National Corp., Evanston, Ill., jointly announced an agreement for Kaufman & Broad to buy Washington National’s Anchor National Life Insurance and Anchor National Financial Services for $75 million, subject to regulatory approval.
