Women’s March and News Play
The Los Angeles Times’ (Orange County Edition) coverage of the March 16th March For Women’s Lives in Los Angeles was abysmal.
Quoting from The Times’ article: “The Los Angeles march was the largest on record for women’s rights on the West Coast.” Yet, your editors chose to cover the story on Page 7 of the Orange County section!
No mention of the march was made in the entire Part I section of The Times. This was an event that attracted 20,000 to 40,000 people from the entire West Coast and was held in the very city this newspaper represents. And yet, you buried the story in Part II of the Orange County section.
Your poor judgment makes us wonder about the bias that may have influenced the decision to bury an important, newsworthy local and national story.
