Pampered on Tour

All of the nice things that Hank Kovell had to say about Giovanni Tours (The Mature Traveler, March 9) are true in our estimation, especially the part about being pampered. An important omission from Kovell’s well-written article was, in our view, the attention that Giovanni pays to guides and tour leaders.
On our trip Chrissi DiPonzo (the boss’s beautiful daughter, no less) accompanied us from start to finish through seven countries. Her attention to detail and our comfort added immeasurably to the pleasure of our trip. She was joined in England by our main tour guide, a young lady from Yugoslavia who remained with us for the balance of our European stay. We still find it hard to believe that one individual could know so much about so many things.
