Measurable levels of uranium and fluoride have been found outside the boundaries of the Kerr-McGee uranium processing plant in Gore, Okla., where a worker was killed in a spill of a toxic acid in January, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission reported. It advised that food grown in the area should be tested for possible contamination and plant workers who were exposed to the airborne plume of toxic gas be monitored for lung and kidney problems for up to two years.
