La Canada Flintridge Candidates
Joan Feehan, 54, is a former president of Oak Grove PTA and Women’s Assistance League of Flintridge. She served on several committees in the city’s incorporation fight and is active in the La Canada Trails Council, which helps maintain the city’s extensive hiking and riding trails.
O. Warren Hillgren, 61, is an incumbent councilman and retired advertising executive. He has served three terms as mayor and is past president of the La Canada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce and Community Assn. He proposed the city’s compromise horse-keeping ordinance.
Edmund J. Krause, 84, a retired licensed public accountant, is an incumbent councilman and former mayor. He is also chairman of the county Fire Commission. He helped the city acquire the historic Lanterman home, has promised better fire service and favors a citywide sewer system.
Darold D. Pieper, 41, is a law-firm managing partner, past Cityhood Action Committee executive director and former president of the Coordinating Council, Chamber of Commerce and Community Assn. He is on the Public Safety Commission and county Delinquency and Crime Commission.
